As pioneers in East Coast viticulture, Sand Castle Winery was founded in 1974 combining European and American tradition to create world class, premium wine.

The winery name and facility is inspired by a magnificent European Castle. The 21,000 square foot chateau includes, a tented Garden Pavilion, the second floor Grand Hall, an expansive tasting room, and a 7,000 square foot wine cellar. Sand Castle Winery hosts daily wine tastings and tours, private tastings, events, and is a distinctive location for parties and weddings.

Sand Castle Winery grows four grapes on 72 acres overlooking the Delaware River. The Central Delaware Valley is recognized by the government as a designated viticultural district, one of the few places in the world where Cabernet, Chardonnay, Riesling, and Pinot Noir can grow with equal success.

All Sand Castle wines are made exclusively from grapes grown on the property, earning the esteemed label of estate grown.  The painstaking attention to quality is a large investment that limits production and yields superior wine.  We are proud to note that only 5% of all wineries in the US grow and bottle their own wines on site.

Wine education is a part of every visit to Sand Castle Winery. The enthusiastic winemakers and staff encourage guests to not only enjoy the wine, but also understand where it came from. The relaxed environment leads to a delightfully approachable education on the art of winemaking and the hobby of consumption.

Let’s just say how Unprofessional the Event Coordinator Dean was via email. Yesterday, I had an appointment to meet with him at 2:30pm but received an emergency phone call in regards to my a family member. Instead of doing a no call no show I emailed him at 8am yesterday morning basically apologizing for the inconvenience and possibly rescheduling. His response exactly to me “ I would have like, more advance notice”. I was so taking back from his response because regardless even if that’s how he felt personally you NEVER respond to a customer In that manner. I replied to him “Wow, so unprofessional of you” in which I should’ve turned a deaf ear to his foolery but I figure maybe I’ll be the one to teach him and it needed to be said. I just can’t believe how he really went back and forth via email implying I’m being unprofessional with not giving him 24hrs notice. In this situation theirs no need for me to up hold any professionalism because I’m the potential client and “unforeseen situations are less than 24 hrs”. I say this all to say enjoy your wine tasting there, but don’t even think about planning a wedding here with Dean. I’m glad his careless attitude and disrespect via email occurred now then happening during my actual wedding because I would be devastated. He was also told about me making a review and said “you bet” so either he controls the reviews on here or he’s leaving the job because he was just rude. I’ve never experienced anything like this in my life and people like him won’t go to far. Wishing I could give this place zero stars, read at your own risk. I enjoy reading reviews before making a decision to go to a business. I actually read one on The event coordinator below about a couple scheduling an appointment and he didn’t show up, so I’ve been warned of his unprofessional.

We stopped on way to visit Mom in Pt. Pleasant Tyler was our wonderful wine tasting guide and gave us so many ways to enjoy the wine the background on the winery and just e very lovely young man. I was apprehensive since it was just us but he made us feel at home and didn’t charge for tasting since we only liked and tasted less then half the wines and left happy with 6 bottles of fabulous wine including the Red port. Thank You Tyler you made our experience as sweet as the wines xxoo

The owner Let us try the new wine sickle we were one of the 1st ones and it is delicious and I'm going back for a case All the wine is very good especially the claret but that wine sickle is tops gotta go and try

Souch a great service and such a wonderful wine!!! Older Italian guy hooked me up really good, explain wine and got several " free" tasting. Very welcoming, asked if he can help us and he was just awesome!!! Love the wine, got several bottles.

I have been to the store that they had in Warrington before it closed but I wanted to visit the actual Winery so me and my girlfriend's took a day trip and we had an awesome time. Tyler is amazing with the descriptions of what you will taste in the wines and Dean is very knowledgeable of the winery grounds. With these two guys you will have a blast and the venue is beautiful.
