Disappointing stay. Overcrowded, understaffed. Inadequate spa facilities (no changing rooms, lockers not working, tepid sauna). No room service menu in the room, impossible to get hold of anyone on the phone to order food... NOT the level of service I expect at $350 a night. I stayed at the Double Tree in downtown Montreal two days ago, and it was really excellent. This one however... Hilton would do well to try and achieve a little more consistency across the brand.

The stay here started out good but went south the day we left. As a Gold member I asked for late checkout since I was there on business and had a meeting until 2pm 2 blocks away. I was told that I could not get late checkout but they could store my luggage for me. I was only needed late checkout due to needing to change out of my uniform. When I got back and retrieved my luggage, I asked if they had a room I could change out of my uniform in, but the desk clerk said I could change in the bar area bathroom. On the way out of the parking garage I proceeded to the booth and handed the clerk my ticket (she was on the phone and gave me a look like I was interrupting her phone call). My parking cost was $30.00 (not included in the room, and was only there for 1.5 days). When I went to hand her my credit card, she told me they only took cash. Even though there was a card reader on the booth. This wasn't explained to me when I checked in (parking cost was extra and would need to pay in cash). Double Tree needs to do better communicating these items to their customers and step their game up with their service (late checkout and changing area).

Awful experience. Stayed here over the weekend for my wedding. For starters the entire process of working with the event staff was terrible. They were unhelpful and not really willing to accommodate. The week of the wedding I emailed the event planner because the girls I had coming for hair and make up requested an extra table. I was told a second round table would be in our suite and it wasn’t. I called the front desk 3 times and was told they would bring one up. Waited in the room An hour and it never came. Called back down the morning of the wedding and same thing, waited an hour and it didn’t come. On top of that my parents woke up in the middle of the night to a sound and then saw mice running around their hotel room, to which the manager said it was because “we are in a city”. They did change their room and not charge but mice should not be running around a hotel. Overall it was just a bad experience and I would not recommend again.

I'd consider this hotel to be on the bigger side in comparison to other Hilton Hotels that I've stayed at. The front desk staff were very friendly (I mainly dealt with the evening shift) as were those who worked at the breakfast buffet. I'm used to having an extra pillow and blanket in the closet, but there wasn't one here and I had to call down for it. I had absolutely no issues and the items I asked for were delivered promptly. The only downside I can comment on is the location. It's right in the middle of the art district which means a lot of traffic noise. The sounds from the streets carry all the way up to the top floors, so if you are an extremely light sleeper, don't expect to go to be bed before 10PM (or later) and be prepared to wake up early. The area starts bustling around 7AM. Overall: If you want something quiet and quaint, this won't do, but if you love city life with things to do and places to eat well within walking distance, you'll be glad you stayed here.

Staff is friendly, great location, reasonably priced. Editing because I can't rate again. Still a five. This is our go to place when we visit Philly, centrally located with easy access to public transportation. The staff is awesome, my husband asked for almond milk our first morning there. They had soy, which was great. The woman taking care of the food/ snacks on 24 had almond milk for us the next day. She went above and beyond to take care of us. There's an indoor pool, outdoor patio area on 4.
