One of the best bars in Philly for a beer. Eclectic beer menu with selections from all around the country and world. Monks special is a personal favorite but anyone can find a beer they like there. Food is great too.

Used to enjoy visiting from the burbs for the great beer selection - that is until we made the trip based on beers still listed on their web page that had tapped the day before. It is still a nice place but the high prices and unpleasant ambiance make it difficult to enjoy. Add to that the many other bars in the Philly area which now get the same rare and exciting beers I don’t see any reason to ever return

This place is nice, but so busy! It was packed. It's not a romantic place. It's casual, good for a chill night. They have an amazing selection of beer and liquor. We had the mussels, Monk's style and Thai Curry style. They were really good! These are some of the best mussels I've had in Philly. They are served with a bread roll and French fries.

Great late night food. Amazing place to spend time with friends. Interior was beautiful. Services was great by great staff. Great collection of drinks.

We stopped in here after seeing a play in town walking around looking for a place to eat. Not a beer drinker so this was purely for food. Place is bigger than looks from outside. The mussel appetizer was delicious fresh & clean. Love the variation of mussel flavors/broths to choose from. Fries that accompany them are terrific. I had the duck confit for dinner which was awesome and daughter had salad. Very interesting food menu. Can't speak on beer as we both had water due to imbibing too much the night before but will go back!
