Bar Hygge is a new restaurant and brew pub on Fairmount Avenue (It's the home of Brewery Techne). We are open 7 days a week from 4pm to close.

First off, the service was all-around great. Our server was super friendly and accommodating the entire time. It also wasn't terribly crowded for a Friday night, which was just what we were looking for. We got one of the boards with a mix of vegetarian, charcuterie, and cheese picks. The food was kind of hit or miss with some of the items being pretty good while others were a little bland or small for the price. Our biggest issue was probably the drinks. It may have just been a bad or inexperience bartender that night, but something was off, especially since it wasn't very crowded. My wife's drink was the weekly special and meant to resemble a thai tea with coconut, but it really only tasted like alcoholic water. Our server was super gracious about replacing it for us. My wife ordered what I had, but when it arrived, I realized I must've received something different because they were two different colors (and tasted different). She got the correct drink while I got a different drink on the menu in the right glass with the correct drink's garnish! It was still good, but not what I ordered. Overall, we may have just had a few bad experiences all at once, but it didn't live up to expectations. It's definitely worth a visit, though, even if just for the good service!

Bar Hygge is the best of the best. From the Italian wine on draft to amazing homemade tasty cake dessert and everything in between. We have been for drinks, brunch and dinner and each experience has been unique, delicious and better than the last. I confidently recommend Hygge to anyone looking for a place in our neighborhood.

I've been here twice so far. The staff is friendly and attentive. The food was great on both occasions. The atmosphere is great, especially the unique lounge dining room. The beer is good too. I'll definitely be back.

Such a good place! The charcuterie boards are awesome, and the drink selection is very good as well. Our server was really great, especially as we were taking quite a long time to decide what we wanted. I'm keen to get back to try their brunch and other menu items too!

I came here while visiting Philly. We were going to a show at The Met and wanted to grab dinner somewhere within walking distance. Bar Hygge was perfect and such a great experience. Our drinks were tasty and the food was delicious. I got the pork chops which I highly recommend. The place has a very cool vibe and started getting pretty packed by the time we left around 9.
