About

John Serock learned at an early age that he was destined to have a career in the catering business. At only 12 years old, John had the opportunity to work with his grandmother, a cook and banquet manager. Although his only task at that age was to wash dishes, he knew then catering was his passion. His love for the industry was further strengthened at the Jersey shore where John spent many of his teenage summers cooking in an Italian restaurant.

After graduating from high school, John decided to fine-tune his cooking skills at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. At Johnson & Wales, John served as a teaching assistant in the banquet department and went on to graduate with honors from the University’s Culinary and Foodservice Management programs.
