About

Tufas Boulder Lounge came about through the shared vision of three local Philly climbers who knew that the existing community needed more than what was currently available and that the benefits of rock climbing in Philadelphia could be shared with a much larger audience.
We are thrilled to be able to provide a space for rock climbing in Philadelphia that incorporates everything that we love about the sport and lifestyle of climbing. We have designed over 5,500 sq/ft of climbing terrain with beginner and advanced climbers in mind. In addition there is 1,500 sq/ft of climbing-specific training and general fitness to keep us strong, motivated, and healthy.
We understand the importance of community, which is why we created multiple lounge areas to provide an environment where trips can be planned and memories can be shared. Now that the approach is over it’s time to start climbing!

Me and my daughter was here at Tufas today. We love the Instructor Caleb, he is very nice and patient and very helpful. Thumbs up for Caleb and crews.

Tufas Boulder Lounge is one of the most modern climbing gyms I have ever been too. The equipment is up to date and the routs they put up are very enjoyable! It also seems they have a good community and friendly staff there. I will come back for sure.

This has to be the best boulder lounge in the city. There are a lot of varied and well thought out routes. I also like that they have a gym area to make sure you get a full work out.

Best vibe in a climbing gym. Period. The setting is 5 stars - thoughtful and aesthetic. The wall angles give you an incredibly well-rounded experience, a hold selection that would make a gym two times larger blush, and more than enough to keep you busy. The training area has all that you need, including two hydraulic walls (kilter & tension). You will not be disappointed.

Visited from out of town, had a great session at Tufas. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable, sets were high quality, and angles were the best I've seen for a gym this size. The workout area is 5 star and they made incredible use of space. We climbed until we couldn't pull anymore then got in a quick workout. Highly recommend especially if you're visiting from out of town!
