Rouge 98 has set the tone for dining in the city of Philadelphia, especially Rittenhouse Square, for over 15 years. A restaurant known for its’ decadence, Rouge’s jewel box décor is luxurious yet comfortable and intimate while consistently voted the place to ‘see and be seen’. Designed by renowned interior designer Marguerite Rodgers, Rouge’s plush motif is set off with velvet banquets, a circular marble bar and gorgeous Gustav Klimt reverse painted mirror. Their dining area is open to private events.

I made my reservations with Urbanspoon and put the comment in that it was a first date she usually gets ignored by every restaurant. Well we gotten caught in horrible traffic and we're half an hour late and even though there were barely any reservations available they held our table for us. Not only that but the hostess knew that it was a first date and picked a wonderful little intimate table off to the side. It is so rare to see this kind of attention and concern I was stunned. The food was very good but the staff made it amazing

Enjoyed a very late brunch at Rouge with my parent’s. The perfect pour of a mimosa. Avocado toast for mom, smoked salmon eggs bennie for me and a veggie omelet for dad (not pictured). My dad doesn’t usually exclaim about his food, but he specifically told us that he had a great omelet. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back.

It was a rainy Friday night and most of the restaurants at Rittenhouse Square had a 2 hour wait but Rouge had several seats at the bar so we took our seats. Its dark wood interior was cozy for a cold rainy night. We had small plates which came quick and were delicious! The Bartenders, Meredith and Katie were very attentive, quick and made very professional drinks. We had 4 cocktails and plenty of appetizers and the bill was under $100. We had the lamb meatballs, fries, Brussels sprouts, mac & cheese. If you are in the area I highly recommend Rouge

Digging the new bar, even though I loved the old oval bar. Great drinks and a hip crowd. Always good Rittenhouse Square energy.

Love the food and the vibe here. I honestly liked it more before the remodel. That being said this is still a great choice for a cool and less noisy spot to visit on Rittenhouse square.
