Do you love dogs? Do you love bars? Do you love good-food? Did you know that the three of these can go together at Good Dog Philadelphia. Over the years, Good Dog has shown its devotion for man’s best friend, from the photos of pups that line the walls of the three-story building, to the bar’s anniversary party dedicated to the cover girls and boys that fill those walls. Now, owners Heather Gleason and Dave Garry, who recently adopted a puppy themselves (a black lab named Greta), are working to match more dogs with great families – and maybe even you! The idea was brought to them by a Good Dog employee by the name of Lisa Berkowitz who volunteers at STAR, a local animal rescue. A few weeks later, Good Dog’s Adoption Spotlight was formed and ready to find good dogs good homes.

Craft beer bar with award winning pub food. We love dogs and beer and people. What more could you want? Private parties are available Sunday through Friday at 4pm. Good Dog is not available for private events from Friday at 4pm through the close of business Saturday, unless you are looking to buy out the entire restaurant. Ask us about booking our 2nd and 3rd Floors for 25-45 guests! Three hour minimum for all private events. $200-$500 to reserve floors. Both a drink and food package must be purchased

Really great service, good food, too. Perfect execution on the Good dog burger. I would like a different cheese though. Good amount of beers, but all pretty standard stuff. I heard they're changing the dog pics in Dec, but the place could use an update, too.

I stopped by for a late lunch and enjoyed a couple drinks along with an amazing sandwich. I had the Salmon Grilled Cheese, and wow - what a fantastic meal. The sandwich was served quickly and hot, was crisp and loaded with cheese and salmon. This was my first trip here, but something tells me all their menu items are equally good. I would love to try more items, and next time I'm in Philly I plan to stop by again. The bartender was responsive and quick. I don't think I would consider Good Dog Bar for craft cocktails, but for a quick drink and some great food I highly recommend. If you are looking for craft cocktails consider Franklin Bar or Ramstead Room.

We stopped by for a late lunch yesterday and were able to get a table pretty quickly. We needed to get in and out quickly for the ballet and we were able to do that. We would have loved, however, to stay and linger. The drinks were excellent and so was the food. Our two young kids enjoyed their kids mac and cheese and grilled cheese. Burgers were excellent. The service was friendly and fast. Nothing but good things to say about this restaurant

First time here and it was the best experience! From the games to the drinks and to the staff. Heather is definitely the best in this place! Love her and how she was so loving will be back soon to have fun and visit heather

The place itself is great and most of the staff is awesome. Great food and good beer. Zach the bartender is beyond rude with customers. His language and attitude turns many customers away. If I was the owner, I would fire him without hesitation. Having customers walking out because of his bad attitude is bad for business.
